Partner Peter Fischer is quoted in an article published Dec. 4, 2020, by Crain’s Chicago Business. The article, “Chicago Hotel Owners Say Unions Complicate COVID-Era Survival,” reports on disputes between hotel operators and labor unions over staffing levels and services during the pandemic.  “Owners are calculating how much it costs to have that first guest come in the door, and if under a union contract they have to have a houseman, a room attendant, a busser, a bartender, a barback, a front server, a back server, bell person, door attendant . . . the cost of having that first guest is very high," Fischer told the publication.  <a href="https://www.chicagobusiness.com/commercial-real-estate/chicago-hotel-owners-say-unions-complicate-covid-era-survival">Read the article (registration required)</a>.
