The article, “Companies Face Record Number of Shareholder Lawsuits,” reports on the record number of class action securities lawsuits filed in federal court in the first six months of 2017. Noting that companies need plans to defend against fraud accusations after investor losses, Greene said, “There’s a reality of securities class-actions that needs to be baked in,” even though most of these cases do not proceed to trial.
