Matt Morris focuses his practice on employment litigation defense, representing California employers in single plaintiff lawsuits, class actions and representative actions brought pursuant to the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) based on alleged violations of California’s complex wage and hour laws. He has defended all manner of employment claims, including claims for retaliation, disputes related to disability discrimination and failure to engage in the interactive process under both California’s Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), claims for breach of employment contracts and other alleged violations of the California and Federal law. He has worked with a broad range of industries, including media and film, alternative energy, automobile manufacturing, healthcare and the arts.
