Ann O'Brien Quoted on DOJ Antitrust Loss in Chicken Price-Fix Case

On July 13, 2022, Partner Ann O’Brien was quoted in a Bloomberg Law article, “DOJ Tactics Come Under Scrutiny After Chicken Price-Fixing Loss.” In U.S. District Court in Colorado, a jury on July 7 found former and current executives of Pilgrim’s Price Corp. and Claxton Poultry Farms not guilty of price fixing. It was just one of what the article described as a string of antitrust losses for the Department of Justice. In the article, O’Brien said she may be more likely to recommend clients go to trial in such cases in the future because “if it’s a close call, we can’t assume the DOJ will win.”
