Daniel Bucca applies his multi-disciplinary understanding of technology to a practice that includes procuring, enforcing and licensing patent rights and strategic, worldwide patent portfolio creation and management, particularly in the areas of clean technology, life science and chemical and material science technologies. His experience encompasses battery and fuel cell technology, hydrogen generation, oil and gas, mining, environmental remediation technologies, carbon capture and sequestration, medical devices, pharmaceuticals and food sciences.
Dan creates and manages global patent portfolios, conducts IP transactions, freedom-to-operate, patentability, validity and non-infringement opinions, and has extensive experience with global litigation, appeals and proceedings in both U.S. and foreign patent offices that include post grant reviews, reexaminations, reissues, interferences, oppositions and nullity actions.
Prior to practicing patent law, Dan was a researcher in government laboratories and in the semiconductor and chemical industries.
