Overview

J'Naia Boyd has a broad background in litigation, having represented clients ranging from individuals to Fortune 500 companies on matters that include trademark and copyright infringement, contract disputes, business torts, fraud and insurance.

J'Naia is currently a member of the BakerHostetler team serving as court-appointed counsel to the Securities Investor Protection Act (SIPA) Trustee for the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC (BLMIS), an unprecedented recovery effort involving hundreds of actions.  

Select Experience

  • Represented Fortune 500 companies, global brands, small businesses and individuals in matters involving trademark and copyright infringement, complex contract disputes, bankruptcy, business torts, fraud, insurance and enforcement of restrictive covenants, non-disclosure agreements and arbitration agreements.
  • Successfully prosecuted and argued appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit and the New York appellate courts involving diverse areas of the law, including commercial litigation, trademark infringement, attorney malpractice, labor and employment law and premises liability.
  • Prosecuted trademark and copyright applications and defended clients before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
