Overview

Jared Brandyberry is a litigator who assists clients with commercial and IP disputes involving complex technology. His cases typically involve contractual, patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret claims.

Jared has represented clients in 22 different U.S. District courts, ITC investigations, Federal Circuit appeals and multidistrict litigations. He also assists clients with IP procurement and licensing activities.

  • Since 2018, litigated matters involving front-end user interfaces for high frequency trading tools, strontium-rubidium radioisotope infusion systems and generators used in positron emission tomography imaging, slurry wall keying in water reservoirs, security assessments of business application software systems, aramid fiber weaving techniques, ECG electrode connectors, distributed file system architecture and resource management, and clot initiating devices used for vascular wounds.
  • Served as trial counsel in five cases, three before juries in the Southern District of Ohio, Eastern District of Texas and Northern District of Illinois, and two before the International Trade Commission. Role on trial teams included direct and cross-examination of lay and expert witnesses.
  • Led all stages of litigation through more than 80 patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret and licensing litigation matters, including coordinating collection and review of electronically stored information during discovery, taking and defending the depositions of key witnesses, participating in alternative dispute resolution proceedings, drafting and arguing dispositive, discovery and pretrial motions, negotiating settlement agreements, examining witnesses at trial and briefing appeals at the Federal Circuit.
