Jarvarus Gresham’s litigation practice encompasses a variety of industries, including sports liability, healthcare, property disputes, False Claims Act litigation and business dispute litigation.

Jarvarus has experience at all stages of civil litigation, counseling clients from case initiation and response through dispositive motions. He is adept at facilitating and advising clients through the civil discovery process, including propounding pragmatic discovery, taking and defending depositions and tracking key admissions throughout the process. Notably, Jarvarus has counseled and advised Major League Baseball and National Football League teams on issues related to general liability, I-9 compliance, garnishments and bailments.

  • Representation of non-profit organization’s managers and directors in defending depositions for the worker’s compensation suit.

  • Filed Petition for Delayed Birth Certificates and obtained birth certificates for mother who gave birth to children at home, enabling mother to enroll children into school and to receive government benefits. This matter was through the Atlanta Legal Aid Society.
  • Drafted background check policies and advised Atlanta non-profit organization whose mission is to close the opportunity gap for under-resourced students to graduate prepared for college and career through exposure and support. This matter was through the Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta.
  • Updated employee handbook and advised Atlanta non-profit organization whose mission is to expose, educate, engage and entertain audiences by presenting and supporting art and artists of African descent. This matter was through the Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta.
  • Prepared and executed several estate planning documents, including: last will and testaments, Georgia advanced directives for healthcare and financial powers of attorney for clients. These matters were through the Atlanta Legal Aid Society.
  • Assisted a low-income tenant in having necessary repairs done to his unit while remaining in possession of his apartment after a landlord continuously refused to make basic repairs and threatened to evict the tenant. This matter was through the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation.
  • Assisted a financially disadvantaged family by drafting an amended complaint and collaborating with a medical expert to overcome the unconstitutional treatment by a school system of a child with special education needs. This matter was through the Atlanta Legal Aid Society.
