Overview

Mark Krietzman’s practice touches all aspects of patents, from strategy, diligence and prosecution to litigation. He prosecutes patents and trademarks and counsels on developing strong patent and trademark portfolios, including international technology transactions. Through strategic portfolio development and the creation of high-value portfolios that resonate with and enhance clients’ immediate business goals, he adds value to their businesses.

Mark has the depth of knowledge and ability to evaluate portfolios, provide freedom to operate counseling and acquire intellectual property rights in order to sustain long-term IP advantage and security. He helps clients fully understand the intellectual property landscape in which they are operating. Mark builds portfolios for clients in an effective risk-management fashion, providing an armor that can fight against or prevent future litigation.

Mark’s focus on biotechnology and pharmaceutical includes working on the chemistry and accessory side of cannibis with both business-to-business and business-to-consumer clients.

Mark is recognized as one of the Top 25 Intellectual Property Portfolio Managers in California by the San Francisco Daily Journal and Los Angeles Daily Journal (2010). He has been honored globally as one of the IAM Patent 1000 – The World’s Leading Patent Practitioners (2015 to 2016). Mark is the Costa Mesa Intellectual Property Leader.
