Melody Drummond Hansen focuses her practice on intellectual property and technology litigation and strategic advice for technology transactions. She has extensive experience advising established technology leaders and emerging companies in patent, data security and privacy, trade secret, trademark, copyright and unfair competition disputes. With 17 years of experience in enabling technologies, Melody is a leader in the future of mobility, where she advises clients from software providers to OEMs on automated, connected, shared and sustainable transportation. She helps clients adapt their businesses for new technologies while navigating federal and state regulations, including from the U.S. National Highway Transportation and Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the California Department of Motor Vehicles.

Melody uses her experience in diverse technologies to provide holistic advice, leveraging particular strengths in mobile telecommunications standards, platforms, geolocation and navigation, cameras, streaming video, network architecture, artificial intelligence and augmented reality.
