Sean Ryan is an experienced litigator with a robust labor and employment law practice in courts nationwide, whose work on employment law has been cited by the U.S. Supreme Court. Sean advises clients on electronic monitoring, workplace AI development, automated decision-making tools, employee privacy (including CCPA, BIPA and GDPR) and social media policies.
Sean has deep knowledge of emerging areas of law associated with employee privacy and use of AI in the workplace. He is also highly experienced in traditional areas of law such as discrimination and retaliation, noncompete litigation, wage and hour and Equal Pay Act claims. Sean was a key and active member of the firm’s COVID-19 response team and dealt with many novel issues related to mandatory vaccines and OSHA compliance, as well as tailoring employment policies in that fast-changing environment.
