Strategic Outsourcing

Overview

Whether a short-term process solution or a long-term strategy to maximize efficiency, BakerHostetler’s Strategic Outsourcing team helps companies lower costs and improve information technology and business process efficiencies by tapping into worldwide resources. Our team’s experience spans a wide range of industries, including financial services, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, management consulting/professional services, and computer technology.

We work with clients across various aspects of an outsourcing transaction—including assisting with drafting RFPs and reviewing responses, analyzing, structuring, drafting and negotiating information technology outsourcing (ITO) agreements and business process outsourcing (BPO) agreements, both in the U.S and overseas—as well as the other aspects of outsourcing, such as risk assessment, vendor selection, vendor relationships, and analyzing market trends.

Our Strategic Outsourcing team has considerable experience handling outsourcing arrangements in India, which continues to account for a majority of offshore outsourcing work. Because of our knowledge and experience with India and its laws, we are able to help our clients bridge cross-border differences in business and social culture, language, geopolitical risk, logistical infrastructure, and dispute resolution processes to achieve successful outsourcing arrangements. Clients appreciate that we provide valuable information and advice so that they can better understand the cultural landscape and avoid miscommunications when negotiating outsourcing arrangements.
