As a seasoned patent strategist, Tim Worrall has extensive experience working with clients in numerous industries, from the biotechnology and pharmaceuticals space to the material science, med-tech and computer architecture sectors, on their domestic and international patent portfolios. He develops patent portfolios that can be leveraged defensively to protect a client’s existing innovation, and offensively to protect intellectual property in a broader commercial space, all while aligning patent portfolios with the client's goals and objectives. Tim also provides strategic counsel on strengths and the potential weaknesses of a patent portfolio with a focus on approaches to increase the portfolio's value.

In the biotechnology sector, Tim has extensive experience developing patent portfolios to protect biotechnology patent portfolios, as well as develop strategies for biosimilar products. In the pharmaceutical sector, Tim has developed patent portfolios designed to withstand Hatch-Waxman litigation, and has separate experience in developing strategies for generic pharmaceuticals. In the material science and med-tech sectors, he develops patent strategies focused on commercial development. In the computer architecture sector, he has developed patent portfolios that can be monetized in a patent pool or leveraged against competitors.

As a former patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Tim possesses a thorough understanding of regulatory compliance statutes and procedures necessary for securing a strong patent in a variety of commercial contexts.
