On Thursday, January 28, BakerHostetler’s Antitrust and Competition team hosted a webinar, <em>Antitrust Enforcement in the Biden Administration: What to Expect</em>. With recent high-profile cases filed by the DOJ Antitrust Division and the FTC, antitrust is a current hot, high-stakes topic, with competition policy and theory at a critical inflection point. As we transition to the Biden administration, what can we expect on the antitrust front? What does Merrick Garland’s nomination as Attorney General, with his own considerable antitrust experience, mean for the DOJ’s Antitrust Division? Our webinar presenters, including former prosecutors from both the DOJ Antitrust Division and the FTC Bureau of Competition, will provide their insights on the direction of the Biden administration on merger review, monopolization, horizontal and vertical restraints, and cartels.
