Kegler joins from a Chambers-ranked firm, where he was chair of the M&amp;A practice, and focuses his practice on a variety of complex business transactions, including M&amp;A transactions with financial and strategic investors, recapitalizations, Employee Stock Ownership Plan transactions, joint ventures, and other strategic investments.

Kegler has significant experience representing clients on complex business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions and dispositions, recapitalizations, reorganizations, ESOP formations, joint ventures, and other strategic investments. He regularly advises sellers and buyers, including private equity groups sponsoring leveraged recapitalizations and reorganizations. Kegler’s clients are involved in an array of industries, including manufacturing, health care, restaurants, franchising, retail, building and construction materials, technology, advertising and marketing, and professional services.

In addition to his M&amp;A practice, Kegler has substantial experience with a wide range of business planning matters relating to C corporations, S corporations, limited liability companies and limited partnerships. He counsels a variety of companies and entrepreneurs on business formation, capital raising, employee matters, strategic agreements, shareholder agreements, complex partnership and limited company agreements, debt and equity agreements, and confidentiality and noncompetition agreements.

Kegler received his B.A. from DePauw University and his J.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Law.
