Partners Adam Skilken, Matthew Oliver and Benjamin Oster, plus Associate Cary Jones, advised private equity firm Avathon Capital in its acquisition of OculusIT, a provider of MSP and outsourced IT services for higher education institutions, from venture studio and venture capital fund ElevenX Capital. OculusIT offers a broad range of services to over 200 colleges and universities, including managed enterprise resource planning, cloud services, cybersecurity, infrastructure management and around-the-clock support. Since its founding in 2018, OculusIT has become a trusted full-service IT partner to more than 200 colleges and universities.
Joe Redwine will continue to serve as OculusIT’s CEO. The acquisition is Avathon’s sixteenth platform investment.
