Partners Amy Bellman, Kyle Gregory, John Lehrer and Doug Vonderhaar will speak at the 2026 ARDA and University of Florida Levin College of Law Legal Symposium, Aug. 26-27, 2026, in Orlando, Florida. The conference combines leadership, insight and education regarding relevant business issues facing the timeshare, hospitality and lodging industries. Attendees at this symposium will include representatives of many long-term Baker clients - Disney Vacation Club, Hilton Grand Vacations, Marriott Vacations Worldwide and Travel + Leisure, among others.
Bellman speaks in a session titled “Terminating Timeshare Plans and Repurposing Resorts,” which will provide a practical overview of how boards, managers, legal advisors and owners can navigate winding down a timeshare regime or transforming it into a new sustainable use. Gregory will participate in “AI in the Legal Profession,” which will give practical insights into the legal implications of AI, including intellectual property considerations, confidentiality obligations and energy model contract provisions.
Lehrer will speak in a session titled “Hospitality Financing and Taxation Literacy: Soup to Nuts on Hospitality Project Finance and Tax,” which will provide a straightforward overview of the critical financing and tax aspects of developing and structuring hospitality projects. Vonderhaar will take part in a panel titled “Regulatory and Consumer Protection: The Current State of Privacy, Consumer Regulation and Information Security.” This session will examine the rapidly evolving laws, regulations and litigation risks in privacy, related artificial intelligence and information security and how it affects the timeshare industry.
