WASHINGTON, Sept. 29, 2026 — BakerHostetler announced today that it has relocated its Washington office to 1717 K St. NW. The new space offers state-of-the-art amenities, expanded client-facing areas and room to grow as the firm reinforces its long-term commitment to the region.
The Washington office is home to BakerHostetler’s chairman, Paul Schmidt, and more than 120 attorneys, many of whom are practice and firm leaders. Attorneys in the Washington office offer full-service capabilities across the firm’s six practice areas: Business, Digital Assets and Data Management, Intellectual Property, Labor and Employment, Litigation, and Tax. Washington has been part of the firm’s identity for more than a century, dating back to 1916 when Newton D. Baker came here to serve as secretary of war under President Woodrow Wilson.
