Partners Barbara Linney and Lana Muranovic earned top honors in The WorldECR Awards 2021, which recognize excellence in export controls and sanctions practice worldwide.  Linney was named “Practitioner of the Year” for 2021 by WorldECR, a legal publisher specializing in global export control and sanctions news. The international publication said Linney, the co-leader of the BakerHostetler International Trade team, has built “a diverse team of dedicated sector specialists with the ability to provide value to clients across the full range of export and sanctions matters. . . . [her] strong leadership skills and commitment to clients and the trade compliance community make Barbara a worthy winner of this award.”  Linney’s multinational practice spans numerous industries, notably including defense, aerospace, oil and gas, maritime, technology and medical device manufacturers. She has more than 30 years’ experience advising U.S. and foreign clients on international trade and business issues.  Partner Lana Muranovic was recognized as the 2021 “Young Practitioner of the Year.” She serves as co-leader of the firm’s Aerospace and Defense Industry team, and is a member of the Houston office&#39;s Diversity Group and its Lateral Hiring Committee.
