Senior Advisor Jimmy Cotty, the Georgia Government Affairs team and the late Ben Harbin were recognized by Georgia’s James Magazine in the publication’s annual ranking of lobbyists and firms. Cotty was ranked 44th within the top 100 lobbyists, while the team overall was ranked as the tenth lobbying firm affiliated with a law firm. Harbin was posthumously named to the Lobbyist Hall of Fame.
Cotty joined BakerHostetler in March 2025 after a lengthy career lobbying on behalf of several nonprofits in the manufacturing, infrastructure and housing sectors. Allison Bailey also joined the firm as an Analyst in March 2025 after serving with the Georgia State Senate budget office, where she oversaw appropriations for the Georgia Department of Community Health. Shannon Smith has been an Analyst with BakerHostetler since 2020 and helped establish the Georgia Government Affairs team.
