Partner Gregory Ulmer took office as the 2026-2027 President of the Houston Bar Association at the group’s annual dinner, May 7, 2026. Over the years, he has served terms as first vice president, second vice president and secretary, as well as in leadership roles on various HBA committees that addressed access to justice, community outreach, public education and professional development.
Ulmer has identified three initiatives for his term:
- Launch a Managing Partners Forum for firms with 25 or more attorneys so leaders can connect and discuss issues affecting the practice of law
- Expand collaborative programs to support current and former foster youth transitioning to adulthood
- Host an expungement and record sealing clinic in partnership with My Brother’s Keeper Houston (a citywide community initiative supporting young men of color)
