Partner Justin Yedor was quoted in an article in Lexology titled “California Prioritises Location Data, Sets Sights on Inferences.” Published May 1, 2025, the article discusses the recent CPPA case against the company Background Alert, which failed to register as a data broker and was creating reports based on combinations of inferences from public data – which the CPPA then identified as personal data.
