<p>Partner <a href="http://bakerlaw.com/LPoeLeggette">L. Poe Leggette</a> co-authored "Deep Water Royalty Relief," a chapter published in the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation's <em>Federal and Indian Oil and Gas Royalty Valuation and Management</em> publication. The paper considers royalty relief systems under the DWRRA, the Department of the Interior's implementation of the Act, and two cases that challenged and are challenging actions taken by the Interior to implement the Act. Additionally addressed are the actions of the 110th Congress that will affect this royalty relief, and other royalty incentives offered pursuant to the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act and the Energy Policy of 2005.</p>
