Poe Leggette</a> authored "Valuation of Affiliate Sales and Joint Ventures: Perspectives of an Industry Sympathizer," published in <em>Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation Special Institute on Federal & Indian Oil & Gas Royalty Valuation and Management III</em>. The chapter addresses the royalty valuation issue that divides the federal lessors and lessees: correct methods for valuation of sales or transportation transactions between affiliated companies. This begins with an examination of the history of how the Department of the Interior views affiliate sales and an assessment of how it should view affiliate sales moving forward.</p>
