Partner Paul Levine will join a panel titled “Enforcing Arbitral Awards Against States Sovereign Immunity, U.S. Court Litigation and Structural Barriers to Investment Award Enforcement,” Oct. 28, 2026, as part of Washington Arbitration Week. The session will examine the growing role of Washington, D.C., as a forum for the enforcement of investment arbitration awards, personal and subject-matter jurisdiction under the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act, immunity from attachment, the treatment of State assets used for commercial versus sovereign purposes, anti-enforcement injunctions and questions of international comity arising from proceedings in multiple jurisdictions.
