After narrowly avoiding a partial government shutdown last week, Congress is working to finalize legislation to fund the rest of the government before next week’s deadline.

The White House will release its fiscal year 2025 budget blueprint and immediately begin budget hearings on Capitol Hill.

President Joe Biden has a busy week of travel, with visits to New Hampshire, Wisconsin and Michigan, all key to his reelection efforts.

The House will be in <a href="https://www.majorityleader.gov/schedule/weekly-schedule.htm">session</a> tonight through Wednesday, taking up <a href="https://www.majorityleader.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=2077#:~:text=H.R.%206276%2C%20the%20Utilizing%20Space,ensure%20it%20averages%20at%20least">legislation</a> aiming to force TikTok to sever ties with the Chinese Communist Party.

The Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Economic Development, Public Buildings, and Emergency Management will hold a <a href="https://transportation.house.gov/calendar/eventsingle.aspx?EventID=407211">hearing</a> tomorrow with Federal Emergency Management Agency Administrator Deanne Criswell regarding the agency’s disaster relief fund.

Wednesday, the Financial Services Committee will hold an oversight <a href="https://financialservices.house.gov/calendar/eventsingle.aspx?EventID=409175">hearing</a> regarding the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s regulation of digital payments.

The Senate will hold floor votes Monday through Thursday, resuming <a href="https://www.senate.gov/legislative/floor_activity_pail.htm">consideration</a> of Biden’s judicial nominees.

Office of Management and Budget Director Shalanda Young will <a href="https://www.budget.senate.gov/hearings/the-presidents-fiscal-year-2025-budget-proposal">testify</a> tomorrow at the Senate Budget Committee regarding the President’s Fiscal Year 2025 Budget Proposal.

Thursday, the Finance Committee will <a href="https://www.finance.senate.gov/hearings/the-presidents-fiscal-year-2025-health-and-human-services-budget">review</a> the proposed Health and Human Services Budget with Secretary Xavier Becerra.

Today, the White House will <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/omb/budget/">release</a> the President’s Budget for Fiscal Year 2025, and Biden will <a href="https://www.seacoastonline.com/story/news/politics/2024/03/08/president-joe-biden-manchester-nh/72895847007/">visit</a> New Hampshire.

Tomorrow, he will <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2024/02/15/statement-from-press-secretary-karine-jean-pierre-on-the-visit-of-president-duda-and-prime-minister-tusk-of-poland-to-the-white-house/">host</a> a bilateral meeting with President Andrzej Duda and Prime Minister Donald Tusk of Poland.

Later in the week, he will travel to <a href="https://www.jsonline.com/story/news/politics/elections/2024/03/08/biden-to-travel-to-milwaukee-next-week-as-2024-campaign-heats-up/72895817007/">Wisconsin</a> and <a href="https://www.freep.com/story/news/politics/elections/2024/03/08/president-biden-saginaw-michigan-protest-election/72895822007/">Michigan</a>, before returning to the White House for Saint Patrick’s Day festivities including a <a href="file:///C:/Users/ahiggins/Desktop/Weekly%20preview/2024/03/05/statement-from-white-house-press-secretary-karine-jean-pierre-on-the-visit-of-taoiseach-leo-varadkar-of-ireland-2/">visit</a> from Taoiseach Leo Varadkar of Ireland.
