Partner Ann O’Brien is quoted in article published Aug. 9, 2021, by Global Competition Review. The article “Real Estate Investor Enters Second Guilt Plea” reports on Yarna Marifat’s second guilty plea on charges that he conspired to rig bids at foreclosure auctions in Northern California. “People have been saying the Division has not been doing as much in recent years, but there was a lot of resources going into these real estate foreclosure auctions matters and they produced real results,” O’Brien said.
