Partner Donald Workman recently was sworn in to The Florida Bar Board of Governors by Chief Judge Charles Canady of the Florida Supreme Court during the  Bar’s hybrid 2021 Annual Convention held June 9-11, 2021.  Workman, who leads BakerHostetler’s Bankruptcy and Restructuring Team in Washington, D.C., represents out-of-state members of The Florida Bar.  The 52-member governing board comprised volunteer elected representatives from each of Florida’s 20 judicial circuits and nearly 16,000 out-of-state members. The board also serves in an oversight role at all stages of the disciplinary review process, and makes decisions on behalf of the Bar with respect to discipline matters.  Workman has served on the Executive Council of the Out of State Division for many years as an at-large member, editor, secretary, treasurer, president-elect, and two terms as president. He also serves on the Business Law Section of The Florida Bar as Chair of the Bar/Florida Institute of CPA’s Committee and on the Business Law Section Executive Council.  <a href="https://www.floridabar.org/about/bog/">More information</a>.
