BakerHostetler is ranked No. 4 nationally out of 77 law firms surveyed in the 2021 Midlevel Associates Survey conducted by ALM Media Properties, which publishes The American Lawyer and Law.com.  Associates in their third, fourth or fifth year of practice are asked to voluntarily rate several aspects of their job satisfaction at their current firm: compensation and benefits; training and guidance; relations with partners and other associates; interest in and satisfaction level with the work; the firm’s policy on billable hours; and management’s openness about firm strategies and ­partnership chances.  These midlevel attorneys graded their workplaces in these categories on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest score. Below, firms with 10 or more responses are ranked by their average scores on these questions. BakerHostetler’s average score is 4.587.  In 2019, the last time the firm participated in the Midlevel Associates Survey, BakerHostetler ranked 80th in the nation.  “These significant rankings confirm that BakerHostetler is committed to supporting our developing associates by providing them with meaningful matters, thoughtful guidance, and continuing education,” said Lauren Resnick, the firm’s Chief Practice Partner. “We are proud of the quality of their legal work and their contributions to our firm’s success.”  Law firms also are ranked in selected cities nationwide. BakerHostetler’s offices in Atlanta, Ga., Cleveland, Ohio,  and Columbus, Ohio, all were ranked at No. 1 among firms in those cities, with Chicago at No. 3, Houston at No. 7, and Los Angeles at No. 8.
