News / November 23, 2016

Partners Poe Leggette and Mark Barron are among those recognized in the Denver Business Journal’s 2016 list of “Who’s Who in Energy.” This is the third consecutive year Leggette has been named to the list. “Who’s Who in Energy” profiles the Denver metro area’s key players in the energy industry — from service providers and lawyers to financiers and more.

Leggette, co-leader of the Energy team, represents leading oil and gas companies in transactions, disputes, regulatory proceedings and other matters. He has obtained precedent-setting victories in court regarding the Rockies Express Pipeline and the rights of mineral owners under the Stock Raising Homestead Act. Leggette is a member of the team that represented the Independent Petroleum Association of America and Western Energy Alliance in their successful opposition to the Bureau of Land Management’s new rules on hydraulic fracturing.

On Barron’s accomplishments, the publication wrote, “Barron earned a national reputation from high-profile litigation involving some of the country’s largest producers of oil and gas, including serving as lead counsel in successful opposition to the Bureau of Land Management’s rulemaking related to hydraulic fracturing on federal and Indian lands.”
