Charlie's practice includes a growing focus on sports venue development and sports-related real estate projects. He assists clients involved in the acquisition, development, financing and operation of sports facilities, mixed-use entertainment districts and hospitality destinations connected to professional and amateur athletics. His experience includes work involving professional soccer organizations, sports-anchored mixed-use developments and recreational sports destinations.
Working alongside attorneys in BakerHostetler's nationally recognized Sports Industry team, Charlie supports matters involving professional sports franchises, venue development, hospitality assets and large-scale redevelopment projects. His experience includes projects involving Orlando City Soccer Club, sports training facilities, stadium-related developments and surf-park destinations that blend sports, entertainment, hospitality and community development.
Charlie is also engaged in the firm's sports industry thought leadership initiatives. Most recently, he was selected to participate in a panel hosted by the Florida State University College of Law Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law Society, where he discussed emerging trends shaping the sports industry and the growing opportunities for attorneys working in the sector.
