Mark Krietzman’s practice touches all aspects of patents, from strategy, diligence and prosecution to litigation. He prosecutes patents and counsels on developing enforceable patent portfolios, including international technology transactions. Through strategic portfolio development and the creation of high-value portfolios that resonate with and enhance clients’ immediate business goals, he adds value to their businesses.
Mark’s focus areas include fuel cell stacks from compressed hydrogen storage to plate design, water management and chemistry for use in drones and vehicles, electric vehicles, controllers and battery pack design. In Biopharma, his work includes cancer vaccines, senolytics, stem cell bioreactors, populations of progenitor cells, glycan chemistry and chemotherapeutic agents with irreversible electrophoresis (IRE).
Mark has the depth of knowledge and ability to evaluate portfolios and acquire intellectual property rights in order to sustain long-term IP advantage and security. He helps clients fully understand the intellectual property landscape in which they are operating. Mark builds portfolios for clients in an effective risk-management fashion, providing an armor that can fight against or prevent future litigation.
Mark sat as the only foreign advisor to Chi-Huey Wong during his presidency of Taiwan’s Academia Sinica. Mark is recognized as one of the Top 25 Intellectual Property Portfolio Managers in California by the San Francisco Daily Journal and Los Angeles Daily Journal (2010). He has been honored globally as one of the IAM Patent 1000 – The World’s Leading Patent Practitioners since 2015.
