Shade I. Quailey is a litigation associate who represents clients in high-stakes litigation and cross-border disputes before federal courts and in arbitration. Her experience spans various stages of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, mediation and trial preparation.
Recognized by her colleagues for her strategic thinking and strong written advocacy, Shade regularly leads discovery efforts, drafting, including in complex motion practice, and negotiations with opposing counsel. She has extensive experience managing large-scale discovery, including substantial document reviews and productions, coordinating multijurisdictional evidence gathering, preparing for and taking depositions, and developing discovery strategies in high-stakes disputes. She also applies her research, writing and analytical capabilities to novel issues involving complex domestic and international legal frameworks.
Shade is very active within the BakerHostetler community, serving on the Associates Committee for the New York office and undertaking numerous opportunities to advance the firm’s talent engagement and recruiting efforts. She is also well regarded in the New York legal community, currently serving an appointment to the New York Appellate Division, First Department’s Attorney Grievance Committee.
