A Jan. 5, 2023, Law360 Employment Authority article titled “3 Policy Moves New York Employers Should Watch For In 2023” quoted Partner Amanda Godzinski about a New York City law aimed at addressing the issue of bias in artificial intelligence (AI) hiring tools.
Godzinski told the publication that the lack of a federal law regulating the use of AI in hiring means that cities and states are stepping into the breach with a range of different laws. “Employers are really going to have to stay on top of any local or state laws... and make sure that they are compliant,” she said.
