On May 5, 2023, Corporate Counsel published “GCs Can Play a Key Role in Helping ‘Neurodivergent’ Employees Thrive,” a story about a recent BakerHostetler webinar in which Partners Amy Traub and Ashlee Grant addressed neurodiversity in the workplace.
Neurodiversity refers to the variability in how people learn, process and/or focus. People with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, autism and dyslexia fall into the category of neurodiverse.
Traub pointed out that every workforce is likely to include people who are neurodiverse, and Grant noted that this is an asset, “due to the unique styles of thinking and problem-solving” that neurodiverse people bring to the table.
