Elizabeth Browning combines her Ph.D. in biomedical engineering with her in-depth experience as a patent agent to guide clients through the detailed process of patent preparation and prosecution for their technologies related to cell-based therapies, antibody therapies, biomaterials, molecular imaging and medical devices. She also performs due diligence, patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses to support the advancement of patent portfolios for clients in the life sciences industry.
Prior to joining BakerHostetler, Elizabeth served as a patent agent in the Philadelphia office of an Am Law 50 firm, a patent agent at a national law firm in Philadelphia and as a scientific advisor at an IP boutique law firm in the Philadelphia region. She also served as a Technical Director of Optical Imaging in the Small Animal Imaging Facility at an Ivy League university. Her post-doctoral research was focused on investigating ROS-dependent mechanisms of ischemic vascular remodeling and her dissertation research was focused on hemodynamic regulation of endothelial cell signaling in atherogenesis.
