Overview

Jeremy Hart is a management labor relations and employment attorney. Jeremy provides strategic advice to employers across the country on labor relations and employment compliance. He strives to understand each client’s business, culture and needs, so as to address every problem in a practical way that is uniquely valuable to the client.

Jeremy represents clients in all aspects of labor relations, including in representation and unfair labor practice matters before the National Labor Relations Board, collective bargaining and grievance arbitration. He also regularly provides guidance and representation concerning compliance with state and federal employment laws, and represents clients in state and federal employment litigation.

Jeremy is a contributing editor to chapter 9 of The Developing Labor Law.

  • Successfully defended clients in federal employment litigation involving claims under the ADA, ADEA, FMLA, Title VII and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
  • Defended a manufacturing client in a labor arbitration involving allegations of workplace violence and obtained a favorable outcome on all issues.
  • Obtained summary judgment for a hospitality client in arbitration of FMLA retaliation claims. Represented a manufacturing client in successful decertification petition before the NLRB following five years of litigation and collective bargaining.
  • Advised a Fortune 500 communications client concerning a series of nationwide reductions in force in conjunction with a reorganization and large transaction. No claims related to the reductions were filed against the client.
  • Represented a retail industry client in obtaining the decertification of a multisite bargaining unit.
  • Represented an energy client as lead counsel in the arbitration of a complex contract interpretation and discipline matter. Obtained a favorable ruling for the client on all issues.
