Jeremy Chai is an associate in the Los Angeles IP Group and focuses his practice on complex patent and commercial litigation. He has enforced and defended cutting-edge patents in multiple technology fields, including life sciences, medical devices and electrical engineering. Jeremy is experienced in all phases of U.S. district court patent litigation and domestic arbitration.
Jeremy has successfully litigated cases for clients ranging from start-ups to leading technology companies in complex patent infringement and contract dispute matters. He regularly applies his technical background in life sciences and materials engineering to counsel clients in crisis management situations and risk mitigation practices with respect to product design and marketing strategy.
Using his strong writing skills, Jeremy drafts winning motions and memoranda relevant to all phases of U.S. district court litigation, including motions for summary judgment, motions to dismiss, motions in limine and expert reports.
Prior to joining the firm, Jeremy was an associate in the patent litigation practice of a nationally recognized law firm. During law school, he served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Jesus G. Bernal of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
