<li>Member of team representing a major petroleum company seeking to recover environmental costs against the U.S. related to World War II contracts.</li>
<li>Served as integral member of two-person team that successfully defended and set aside default judgment in federal court for failure to properly serve.</li>
<li>Served as co-lead of a team defending against breach of contract and tortious interference of a contract. Obtained summary judgment on all plaintiff’s claims. Heavily involved in research, discovery, client interviews, trial preparation and motion practice, including drafting the favorable motion for summary judgment.</li>
<li>Involved in representation of client seeking declaratory relief from lease. Obtained favorable settlement shortly after summary judgment filed. Engaged in motion practice, including summary judgment.</li>
<li>Member of a team that defended pharmaceutical company in state multi-district litigation that resulted in favorable settlement. Assisted with defense development and evidentiary support, and deposition coverage.</li>
<li>Obtained victories as lead counsel for hospitality company in arbitrations for breach of contract. Managed motion and discovery, including deposing respondent.</li>
<li>Served as co-lead in defending hospitality company against claims of deceptive trade practices and violations of state timeshare laws. Successfully removed action to federal court and obtained dismissal based on plaintiff’s failure to adhere to contractual obligation to arbitrate claims which resulted in favorable settlement.</li>
<li>Served as co-lead in representation of client in real estate litigation. Managed discovery and motion practice, and argued for summary judgment and against plaintiff’s motion to strike, resulting in favorable resolution for client.</li>
<li>Served as member of team that defended a restaurant owner and operator in Texas state court multidistrict litigation arising out of a confrontation between police and motorcycle clubs. Assisted primarily with motion practice related to discovery and evidentiary issues.</li>
