Mark Tidman is the firmwide chair of BakerHostetler’s Intellectual Property Group and an intellectual property lawyer with more than 30 years of experience in worldwide trademark portfolio management, counseling, exploitation and enforcement, primarily relating to trademarks, trade dress and branding. His areas of concentration include trademark clearance, expansion and enforcement, unfair competition, domain names, rights of publicity, and litigation in federal court and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
Understanding how client needs evolve as technology develops and marketplace landscapes change, Mark guides clients through the most effective courses of action to protect, sustain and strengthen intellectual property rights. He has also handled cases pertaining to patent and copyright infringement, trade secrets and rights of publicity. Mark represents a range of clients from start-ups and mid-sized companies to Fortune 100 companies.
Mark previously served as the Intellectual Property Group Leader in Washington, D.C. and as a member of the editorial board of the International Trademark Association's Trademark Reporter.
