Mark Tidman is an intellectual property lawyer with more than 25 years of experience assisting clients with worldwide portfolio management, counseling, exploitation and enforcement, primarily relating to trademarks, trade dress and branding. Fully immersing himself in the climate in which his clients operate, Mark understands how client needs can evolve as technology develops and as marketplace landscapes change, and he guides clients through the most effective courses of action to protect, sustain and strengthen intellectual property rights. His areas of concentration include trademark clearance and portfolio creation, expansion and enforcement, unfair competition, trade dress, domain names, rights of publicity, and litigation in federal court and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Mark has also handled cases pertaining to patent and copyright infringement, trade secrets and rights of publicity. Mark represents a range of clients from start-ups and mid-sized companies to Fortune 100 companies.
Mark is the firmwide chair of BakerHostetler’s Intellectual Property Group and previously served as the coordinator for the Intellectual Property Group in Washington, D.C. Mark has also served as a member of the editorial board of the International Trademark Association's Trademark Reporter.
