Overview

Matt Schock handles a broad spectrum of high stakes litigation, focusing primarily on antitrust and competition issues. He also counsels clients in a variety of industries on antitrust regulation matters and government and corporate investigations.

Before joining the firm, Matt served as an Assistant Attorney General for antitrust in the Colorado Attorney General's Office, where he represented Colorado in litigation across the U.S., headed investigations into a wide range of competition issues and worked closely with federal antitrust enforcement leaders. Prior to that, he represented clients in antitrust and other commercial disputes as well as government and corporate investigations in private practice at an international law firm.

  • Represented Colorado in complex joint state-federal antitrust litigation challenging Google's conduct relating to search and search advertising. Colorado, et al. v. Google.
  • Defeated the Department of Justice's challenge to a vertical merger of a video distributor and video programmer (dubbed by the Hollywood Reporter as the "antitrust trial of the century"). United States v. AT&T, et al.

  • Defended a proposed merger of food service distribution firms against an FTC challenge. FTC v. Sysco, et al.
  • Represented clients in a variety of complex commercial disputes involving business tort, contract, copyright, insurance and securities claims.
  • Advised clients on criminal and civil investigations and regulatory inquiries in numerous commercial sectors, including financial services, fine arts, health care, health insurance, media and entertainment, public utilities and travel.
