Monica Verma has a diverse practice that includes outsourcing and technology transactions. Monica's experience with respect to sourcing transactions includes representing customers in information technology outsourcing (ITO) and business process outsourcing (BPO), as well as handling all aspects of such transactions, including managing the request for proposal (RFP) process and drafting and negotiating outsourcing agreements. Monica has extensive experience working with Fortune 500 companies and startups, regularly counseling clients on how to address the risks associated with implementation and integration, acceptance testing, system configuration, service level agreements, transition planning and other common areas of exposure in technology contracting. She provides practical guidance to companies to identify transactional benefits and risks, assists companies in crafting strategies to address and overcome the risks associated with technology and outsourcing agreements, and aids in closing deals within tight budgets and timetables.
Monica co-leads the firm's Information Technology and Transactions team. She is also licensed to practice law in India. Because of her background, knowledge and experience with India and its laws, she is able to help clients bridge cross-border differences in business and social cultures, language, geopolitical risk, logistical infrastructure and dispute resolution processes in order to achieve successful outcomes when dealing with cross-border transactions.
