Overview

Ormend Yeilding focuses his practice on hotel and resort transactions, representing developers, institutional investors and private equity groups in the acquisition, financing and restructuring and disposition of resorts, hotels and other leisure assets. Negotiating brand management agreements and franchise agreements are key elements of his practice. He analyzes each situation and proposes creative solutions to meet the client's overall business objectives.

Ormend has handled a wide range of transactions for hospitality and leisure assets, including hotels, resorts, theme parks and golf courses around the country. Most recently, he served as General Counsel for Stratford Hospitality, a Los Angeles-based hotel investment firm that specializes in providing asset management, financing and construction services for its investment partners, giving him a unique insight into the legal business needs from a client perspective.

Ormend frequently writes and speaks on the legal and business issues specific to developing, branding and financing hotel projects, including the challenges, nuances and strategies involved in negotiating among the multiple parties involved.
