  • Currently working on a variety of investigatory and litigation matters in connection with BakerHostetler’s role as court-appointed counsel to the Securities Investor Protection Act (SIPA) Trustee for the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC.
  • Defended a major financial institution during state court actions in which borrowers asserted challenges to chains of title in mortgages. Demonstrated that the financial institution had standing to foreclose on the mortgages.

  • In connection with an internal investigation into fraudulent billing practices, served as ethics and compliance counsel to one of largest construction companies in New York City. Interviewed employees, drafted company policies and procedures, drafted and managed a litigation budget, and advised on board composition and committee issues.
  • Represented the target of an SEC insider trading investigation. Secured a no action letter for the client.
  • Served as FCPA counsel for one of the largest insurers in the United States. Interviewed employees, provided advice related to improving the company’s anti-corruption/anti-bribery policies and procedures, drafted company policies and procedures, and advised on committee composition and reporting issues.
