  • Senior member of the BakerHostetler team working as counsel to Irving Picard, the court-appointed Securities Investor Protection Act (SIPA) Trustee in the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC. Focuses on the investigation of and litigation against corporate entities and feeder funds in connection with the SIPA Trustee's efforts to recover funds for the BLMIS estate. The team’s efforts have led to the recovery of more than $13 billion in assets from Madoff’s decades-old Ponzi scheme – the largest financial crime in U.S. history.

  • Lead associate reporting to the monitor of the Town of Brookhaven’s Waste Management Department (Suffolk County, New York). Reviews hauler and vendor applications for access to the landfill, performs investigations, interviews vendors and haulers, and drafts correspondence concerning the same in order to mitigate the risk of corruption and to prevent fraud.
  • In connection with an internal investigation into fraudulent billing practices, served as ethics and compliance counsel to one of largest construction companies in New York City. Interviewed employees, drafted company policies and procedures, drafted a litigation budget, and advised on board composition and committee issues.
  • Serves as FCPA counsel for one of the largest insurers in the United States. Interviews employees, provides advice related to improving the company’s anti-corruption/anti-bribery policies and procedures, drafts company policies and procedures, and advises on board committee composition and reporting issues.
  • Represented the target of an SEC insider trading investigation. Guided the client through the SEC interview process and secured a “no action letter” for the client.
