Overview

Stephanie Hatzikyriakou is a partner in BakerHostetler’s Intellectual Property Group and focuses her practice on patent litigation. In her almost ten years of experience, Stephanie has gained knowledge in all areas of patent litigation – both during clerkships in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware and the Federal Circuit, and in assisting clients from discovery through post-trial motion practice. 

Stephanie represents companies in an array of fields, including chemical, manufacturing, renewable energy, software and telecommunications. Aiding in her efforts is Stephanie's depth of study, where she earned an undergraduate degree in biochemistry and a Master of Science in chemistry.

  • Member of a team that won a jury verdict of patent infringement after a three-week trial in Boston on behalf of one of the world’s largest manufacturers of offshore wind turbines. The jury awarded full damages as to the prevailing patent and the Court permanently enjoined the defendant from making, using, offering for sale, selling, importing or installing its infringing wind turbines in the U.S. In a related bench trial on inequitable conduct, assisted in successfully defending the enforceability of the prevailing patent in the action.
  • Member of a team that won a jury verdict of patent infringement in Pennsylvania on behalf of one of the nation’s largest cable companies for a patent related to text messaging in cellular networks. Achieved favorable Markman and summary judgment decisions; achieved favorable decisions on post-trial motions regarding validity.
  • Represented one of the nation’s largest cable companies in a patent infringement case in Texas involving computer software technology.
