Cleve J. Glenn joins BakerHostetler’s Houston office as a partner in the firm’s <a href="/services/business/">Business Practice Group</a> and member of the <a href="/services/mergers-and-acquisitions/">Mergers and Acquisitions team</a> and <a href="/services/energy-industry/">Energy team</a>.

Glenn uses his widespread knowledge in M&amp;A and energy transactions, corporate governance and general corporate matters in advising middle market energy companies, private equity portfolio companies, family offices and financial services companies.

Having previously served as general counsel and chief financial officer of an energy services company, Glenn possesses a unique blend of experience in both in-house and private practice roles that further strengthens the firm’s ability to assist clients with strategic transactions and business decisions. &nbsp;

Glenn’s arrival is key to the strategic expansion of BakerHostetler’s Business Practice Group, which most recently welcomed a skilled team of eight M&amp;A, private equity and securities attorneys led by partners <a href="https://www.bakerlaw.com/professionals/will-s-chuchawat/">Will Chuchawat</a> and <a href="https://www.bakerlaw.com/professionals/jr-lanis/">JR Lanis</a>.

Glenn is the latest addition to BakerHostetler’s Business Practice Group, which has welcomed more than 40 accomplished lateral attorneys since the start of 2022. Nationwide, the group consists of more than 250 attorneys serving clients around the globe, including more than 100 who work on M&amp;A and private equity transactions. With extensive experience as a practiced M&amp;A lawyer and licensed certified public accountant, Glenn will bolster the M&amp;A and corporate capabilities of BakerHostetler’s Houston office and its Energy team.

For the past two decades, Glenn has built an impressive practice involving M&amp;A transactions and corporate governance and general corporate counseling for clients in the energy, financial services and private equity industries. His experience includes drafting and negotiating commercial leases, sale-leaseback transactions, master service agreements, supply agreements and financing documents. He is also a licensed CPA in the state of Texas.

Glenn’s corporate clients include private middle market companies within the energy, real estate development, construction and financial services industries, among others. Glenn also provides commercial law counsel to a publicly held industrial corporation providing services to the industrial energy, transportation and construction sectors.

Glenn received his BBA from Lamar University and his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law.
