Partner Lynn Sessions and Associate Eric Morris co-authored an article for the September-October 2026 issue of Journal of Health Care Compliance titled “From Flexibility to Operational Governance: The HIPAA Security Rule’s Quiet Transformation.” The article demonstrates how the original HIPAA rule is evolving by necessity from a flexible, principles-based compliance framework into an operational model of cybersecurity governance.
