Partner Irving Picard received a Lifetime Achievement Award from The American Lawyer during the 2025 Industry Awards dinner, held Nov. 13, 2025, in New York, New York. The award recognized his long history of service to the financial industry, including the reclaiming of billions of dollars for the victims of Bernard Madoff’s massive Ponzi scheme in a recovery that has been active since 2008. Before joining BakerHostetler, Picard held positions in a securities brokerage firm, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and as a U.S. Trustee for the Southern District of New York before moving into private practice.
