<p>A Law360 article discussed dismissal of summary judgments in a lawsuit filed by Simon Property Group Inc., represented by BakerHostetler Partner <a href="http://www.bakerlaw.com/BrianCBlair">Brian Blair</a>, against two marketing executives claiming they were part of a scheme to defraud the company of $2.4 million. The article (“Marketing Execs Can't Shake Claims They Defrauded Simon,” April 18, 2013) reported, “Simon has presented enough information to link Ryan Deming and Dale Takio, the owners of Image Marketing Group Inc. and Takitik Inc., respectively, to service agreements that allegedly overcharged the company and funneled money to its former marketing director, according to U.S. District Judge Gregory A. Presnell's order denying summary judgment.” According to the article, the judge’s order stated, “In sum, though there is no 'smoking gun,' Simon has produced sufficient evidence to demonstrate the existence of a genuine issue of material fact as to whether Lauria was stealing from her employer and whether Deming and Takio participated in the scheme.</p> <p> <a href="http://www.law360.com/articles/434019/marketing-execs-can-t-shake-claims-they-defrauded-simon">Read the full article</a>.</p>
