HEADLINES

 	<li>Congress and the White House are relieved to be moving beyond the monthslong debt limit drama, after late last week approving budget legislation negotiated between President Joe Biden and Speaker Kevin McCarthy.</li>
 	<li>Biden this week will welcome heads of state from Denmark and the United Kingdom.</li>

HOUSE
<ul>
 	<li>The House will <a href="https://www.majorityleader.gov/schedule/weekly-schedule.htm">vote</a> tonight through Thursday, focusing on <a href="https://rules.house.gov/news/announcement/meeting-announcement-june-5-2023">legislation</a> aiming to reduce overburdensome regulations.</li>
 	<li>The House Financial Services Committee tomorrow will hold a <a href="https://financialservices.house.gov/calendar/eventsingle.aspx?EventID=408828">hearing</a> on Treasury market volatility and debt management practices.</li>
 	<li>Wednesday, the Education and Workforce Committee will hold an oversight <a href="https://edworkforce.house.gov/calendar/eventsingle.aspx?EventID=409217">hearing</a> on the Labor Department, with Acting Secretary Julie Su – whose nomination to lead the department is one of the next major flashpoints in Congress.</li>

SENATE
<ul>
 	<li>The Senate will be in <a href="https://www.senate.gov/legislative/floor_activity_pail.htm">session</a> tomorrow through Thursday, continuing votes on Biden’s nominees for both the judiciary and administration roles.</li>
 	<li>The Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday will hold a <a href="https://www.judiciary.senate.gov/artificial-intelligence-and-intellectual-property_part-i-patents-innovation-and-competition">hearing</a> on artificial intelligence and intellectual property.</li>
 	<li>Thursday, the Finance Committee will hold a <a href="https://www.finance.senate.gov/hearings/consolidation-and-corporate-ownership-in-health-care-trends-and-impacts-on-access-quality-and-costs">hearing</a> on consolidation in the healthcare sector.</li>

WHITE HOUSE
<ul>
 	<li>Biden today will <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/denmarks-tough-lady-play-new-nato-chief-ahead-white-house-visit-2023-06-02/">host</a> Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen at the White House, followed later by a celebration for the Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs.</li>
 	<li>Thursday, Biden will <a href="https://apnews.com/article/biden-sunak-white-house-visit-6789b28887b732ed32a2f0840a02bfe2">welcome</a> Prime Minister Rishi Sunak of the United Kingdom for bilateral meetings.</li>
 	<li>Friday, the president and first lady will <a href="https://www.cbs17.com/news/north-carolina-news/president-biden-first-lady-to-visit-rocky-mount-and-fort-liberty-on-friday/">travel</a> to North Carolina, including a visit to the newly renamed Fort Liberty, formerly Fort Bragg.</li>
